2018 - Boba Labs ATX

Our second fundraiser of the year! Spark Special Events was given an opportunity to help the Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP) put together their 3rd annual Boba Labs ATX event! Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP) is the largest network of Taiwanese American professionals in the USA. All proceeds went towards TAP-ATX's mission to provide cultural, professional, social, and philanthropic events in Austin, with a Taiwanese American perspective. Boba Labs ATX is an immersive event, celebrating all things boba! The theme of the night was “Mad Science” and it consisted of the following activities:

Unlimited boozy boba cocktails!
Live DJ & dance floor
Boba themed installations, perfect for taking all the Instagram selfies with your #bobabae
DIY Boba "Science Lab" toppings bar
Raffles and a Costume Contest

The event was held at Site ATX located south of downtown Austin. The venue was directly adjacent to Still Whiskey and the perfect location to hold photo booths. We created five different pop-up instagram photo areas, which included a floating balloon installation, a glow in the dark mad science lab, a boba ball pit, a life size boba cup, and our huge boba themed periodic table. Each art installation was hand made and designed by our creative and art team. The entire team put a lot of hours into envisioning and bringing all the ideas to life! The installations took a month to make and were put up on the day of the event. The cocktails, except for the TAPmi, were specially crafted by our sponsors to enhance boba drinks. The TAPmi cocktail was a crowd favorite that was created by TAP themselves. The color of a deep lavender infused boba was the perfect drink combination to catch the eye and taste buds. Before the big day, there were two separate sneak peek events that were held exclusively for social media influencers to check out before hand and inform their followers about the fundraiser. Boba Labs ATX is a unique event and this year Spark Special Events was able to help TAP take it to the next level! The event was a thrill to put on! Approximately over 250 people attended the fundraiser, and TAP was able to raise around $1,000.00! The fundraiser was a huge success and left an imprinting image all over social media. Look forward to seeing where the 4th annual Boba Labs ATX will go from here!
